Waning Moon's Pickaxe

I do most of my herb gathering here along these islands, so I am aware of the local insects' harsh bite. An old eccentric, who has never been too friendly, lives on the islands here. Yesterday, he stole my pickaxe, which is my main tool for herb gathering. I need to get it back from him, but I am too scared to face him. Would you please talk to him for me and convince him to give my pickaxe back to me?
