Objectives
You definitely don't want your pet going hungry, because that will stunt its growth! This mineral water will suffice for now, but you'll need to find better food later. Make sure you take care of your pet.
Rewards

Letting your pet go hungry will stunt its growth. When your pet is Savage (0-50 loyalty) its attack will be 60% of normal and its experience gain will be 10% of normal. When your pet is Wild (51-150 loyalty) its attack will be 80% of normal and its experience gain will be 60% of normal. When your pet is Tame (151-500 loyalty) its attack will be 100% of normal and its experience gain will be 100% of normal. When your pet is Loyal (501-999 loyalty) its attack will be 120% of normal and its experience gain will be 120% of normal. For now you can use this water to feed your pet. Take care!
